IWC Employees To Offer Online Tutoring For Schoolchildren
As part of its recently announced “TIME WELL SHARED” initiative, IWC Schaffhausen will promote a personal volunteering program for its employees. In their own free time, and on an individual and voluntary basis, employees are encouraged to offer online tutoring support for schoolchildren in basic subjects, such as mathematics or foreign languages. The goal is to support young people and their parents who are studying at home due to the current situation. The free online tuition will be facilitated by Good Tutors Finder, an international Tutoring Services company.
As part of its commitment to improve society, IWC has been promoting the well-being of young people for many years. With schools in many countries currently closed, countless schoolchildren are studying at home and need support. For this reason, IWC has launched a personal volunteering program within the framework of its “TIME WELL SHARED” initiative.
“As a mother, I know how challenging the current situation can be. Therefore, we want to encourage our employees to offer online tutoring support in their own free time. With this personal, voluntary commitment, we want to reinforce our promise to contribute to society and help to ensure that no child is left behind and the burden on parents is reduced,” says Franziska Gsell, CMO of IWC Schaffhausen and Chair of the Sustainability Committee.
“Good Tutors Finder is committed to enable all children to develop their full potential. In addition to our paid home learning and tutoring services, we are delighted to partner with IWC to offer free tuition to children that otherwise might not be able to learn in the current environment,” says Chris Anicet, COO of Good Tutors Finder.
Good Tutors Finder Compiles The Offers
IWC staff who would like to provide online tutoring can register their interest in a dedicated section of the Good Tutors Finder website. Students or their parents can search for tutoring sessions at www.goodtutorsfinder.ch and register online. In the initial phase, the free-of-charge offer includes tutoring from IWC employees in mathematics, German, English, French, Italian, Spanish, geography, geometry, graphic design and computer science.
The online tutoring website via Good Tutors Finder will initially be available in English. There are also plans to include other languages at a later date. The range of subjects can be adapted to meet demand at any time.
