Molnar Fabry Lady Art Skeleton (Price, Pictures and Specifications)
This special Timepiece is one of a kind. Molnar Fabry always wanted to make a ultra thin watch and they finally did it.
Molnar Fabry have used a NOS vintage movement Frederic Piguet 21. This type of movement was very popular to many top watch brands like Patek Phillipe or Vacheron Constantin, etc… The thickness of the movement is only 1,73mm.
On the beginning they thought that it would be not so complicated to skeletonize such a small movement, but it was. The thinnest spot on the main plate was only 0,17mm that is less than 2 papers!
The distance ring and the dial ring are made from titanium, that was also complicated to skeletonize and hand engrave. Gold case is hand made, there was also a complication about water resistance on the crown, because of the thickness the middle part of the case.
Total thickness of the case is 5,60mm and Molnar Fabry have used standard thickness 1,00 mm of the sapphire glasses on both sizes, because they wanted as usual to make a wearable watch that is not so easy to damage.
The time for creating this unique Timepiece was more than 500 hours.
