The Montblanc Heritage Perpetual Calendar features a brand-new manufacture movement, the calibre MB 29.22, that indicates the hours, minutes, day, date, month, moonphase and leap year in an extremely legible way thanks to its large counters at 3, 6 and 9 o’clock. The movement took three years to develop and is composed solely of wheels, in contrast to most perpetual calendars that use levers. This enables the user to adjust the watch via the crown in both directions, making it far simpler to set.

In addition to this, another new safety feature developed by the Montblanc movement engineers prevents the user from setting the watch between the hours of 8 pm and 12 pm, when any manipulation could damage the movement as the correctors are locked. The new Montblanc Heritage Perpetual Calendar is powered by a self-winding movement with a 48-hour power reserve and is also equipped with a very practical dual-time function and a 24-hour indicator, which are particularly useful when travelling.
