Patek Philippe Ladies Chronograph Ref. 7150/250R-001
In 2009, Patek Philippe introduced a chronograph intended exclusively for feminine wrists. It was the first watch endowed with a totally new classic chronograph movement (column wheel, horizontal clutch, manually wound) that was entirely developed and is now being crafted in the manufacture’s workshops. The concept was also reflected by the name of the watch: the Ref. 7071 Ladies First Chronograph was produced until 2016.
The Genevan manufacture is enriching its collection for complicated ladies’ watches by adding a new face for this chronograph that was highly popular among modern, active women with a fondness for exquisite timepieces. The cushion-shaped case has been replaced with an elegant 38-mm round case in rose gold featuring a bezel adorned with a row of 72 diamonds. The sleek, timeless style is emphasized by vintage details such as the prominently fluted strap lugs, the round, guilloched pushers, and the gently cambered sapphire-crystal “box” glass. The silvery opaline dial combines modern elements with classic looks. It sets the stage for slender Breguet hour and minute hands in rose gold, applied Breguet numerals in rose gold, and highly legible displays. Its pulsimeter scale recalls the tradition of old chronographs. It allows the measurement of the cadence of an active life ... or the watch owner’s pulse.
The manually wound caliber CH 29-535 PS movement ticks beneath this style-defining dial. The traditionally designed caliber with an instantaneous 30-minute counter features six horological innovations. Its lavish finissage can be admired through the sapphire-crystal “box” back with a chamfered flank that perfectly matches the contours of the case back.
The new Ref. 7150/250R-001 is the only chronograph in Patek Philippe’s collection for ladies. It is worn on a shiny mink gray hand-stitched alligator strap secured with a rose-gold prong buckle that is set with 27 diamonds.
