Singer Reimagined was born from the encounter between Rob Dickinson, Founder and creative Director of Singer Vehicle Design, and Italian watch designer Marco Borraccino. The company was created to reimagine high-watchmaking, combining obsessive attention to detail, unique perspectives and a love for the iconic sport watches of the 1960s and 1970s. The duo was soon joined by master watchmaker Jean-Marc Wiederrecht who would provide a groundbreaking chronograph movement to power their first opus, Track1.

For the second edition of its revolutionary chronograph, Singer Reimagined has selected a luscious yellow gold case, a nod to iconic watches from the past. The metal is showcased in a rare light yellow shade subtly finished with alternating brushed and polished surfaces. The design cues clearly hark from a golden age, namely the 1970s. Though linked to this classical DNA, the Track1 Geneva Edition nonetheless represents the bleeding edge of high-watchmaking design with its radical movement and presentation of the chronograph and time display.

The Singer Track1 is designed to simplify and highlight the chronograph indication as much as possible. Design follows function. Singer Reimagined’s watches are complicated but their complexity is hidden within (although still visible through the sapphire case back.) This allows you to enjoy and use the watch for the purpose it has been conceived for, in a very pure and elegant way. This is the Singer way. ‘We love simple, beautiful things. What we do is different and unique but still looks familiar. You need to scratch the surface, you need to get closer, and only then, will you be able to understand the complexity and the care put into all our creations’.

Singer Watch Movement

At the watch’s heart, the Agengraphe movement redefines chronograph functionality. This groundbreaking automatic movement challenges principles that have remained unchanged for decades. The centralized indication of the chronograph functions enables a radical focus on legibility and performance – as befits a truly sporting chronograph.

The Track1 - Geneva Edition is presented in contrasting black and gold, a stylish, luxurious colour combination. The only exceptions are the orange hands for optimal legibility, both for the chronograph and time indications.

Time of the day is displayed in the very unique Singer Reimagined style

The chronograph centre dial/counter has a new layout compared to the Track1 Launch Edition. Its pure design has been made even more minimal, creating a radical focus on functionality. The chronograph indications and chapter ring have been moved to the outer part the dial, leaving the central area free to give more importance to the Singer logo. The script ‘Automatic Chronograph Track1’ is now centred in the lower section of the dial, a subtle reminder that, although the oscillating weight is not visible, the Track1 features an automatic movement. Time of the day is displayed in the very unique Singer Reimagined style. A static orange index at 6 o’clock points at the precise indication of time, being superimposed over two matte black ceramic turning discs with luminescent golden numerals: the inner disk for the minutes and the outer disk for the hours. A delicate golden line runs horizontally through the dial as a final vintage note. 43 mm in diameter, the dynamic barrel-shaped case features an ergonomic shape emphasized by alternate sunray brushed and polished - finishes, reminiscent of 1960’s and 1970’s iconic watches. The start stop pushers are located on either side of the case for enhanced operations. The crown is seamlessly integrated into the base band. The Singer Track1 - Geneva Edition is worn with a soft khaki calf leather strap with screw down rivets matching the colour of the case. For enhanced comfort and security, the Singer Track1 Geneva Edition is equipped with a new dedicated gold folding buckle emblazoned with the brand’s logo integrated into the spring mechanism.

Chronograph Movement

A Revolutionary Movement

The AgenGraphe, the calibre powering the Singer Track1, stands apart from all previous chronograph movements. The result of a decade of development, this groundbreaking piece of mechanical ingenuity completely redefines fundamental principles that have remained unchanged for decades. The underlying idea that led to the invention of the AgenGraphe was to enhance the legibility of the chronograph – which is usually poor with the use of small counters spread out across the dial. Thanks to a radically new architecture, the AgenGraphe brings together all the chronograph functions in the centre of the watch, allowing for an easy and intuitive reading of elapsed time. To further enhance legibility, the chronograph incorporates jumping minute and hour indicators. To connect the chronograph mechanism to the timekeeping gear train, the Agengraphe features an innovative clutch mechanism. The coupling is made horizontally which requires less space, yet it is made using friction, just like a vertical clutch. The dial-side rotor (made possible because the hands are on a central axis) leaves an unimpeded view of the movement and its 477 meticulously hand-finished parts.
